Answers
1)  Q Who is eligible for track advancement?
A
Any employee of the District may be eligible for track advancement.
2)  Q What items does the HR department need from me to advance?
A
The HR department will need 3 items to advance you to the next track:
1. Completed Course Approval Form
2. Completed Track Advancement Form
3. Official Transcript
3)  Q Do Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) count towards track advancement?
A
Yes, CEU’s are acceptable to earn track advancement. However, CEU’s and college credit hours can not be combined to earn track advancement.
4)  Q What is the deadline for all three items?
A
The course approval form should be completed before registering for a class. It can be turned in any time prior to registration. Your supervisor will approve the course first and then send it to the HR department. After the Assistant Superintendent for HR approves the course, the form will be sent back to you. The track advancement form is due by March 31st. Please submit your track advancement and course approval form at that time. The official transcript is due by September 1st. If the transcript is not received by September 1st, the employee will NOT advance tracks for that school year.
5)  Q My transcripts will not arrive to HR before letters of intent are printed. Will my letter reflect my track advancement?
A
Letters of Intent printed in July will reflect track advancement only if the transcripts have been received. If the transcripts are received after letters are printed, an amended letter will be issued.
6)  Q Do I need to earn a certain grade for track advancement?
A
Yes. A grade of “A”, “B”, or “C” must be earned for the course to count for either track advancement or tuitions reimbursement.
7)  Q Who should I contact if I have questions regarding track advancement?
A
Please contact the HR Department with any questions regarding track advancement.
