Welcome to Early Childhood Center

Here are the programs we offer:

Parents as Teachers : This is a free program for all families living in the Northwest R-I District. PAT serves families with children from prenatal to age five years. Located at Northwest Valley School.  The PAT program provides home visits, group meetings, screenings, and a referral network. To enroll in PAT, visit our website at www.nwr1.k12.mo.us , click on the Programs tab, and then click on Parents as Teachers to complete the enrollment form.  You can also call the Early Childhood Office.  

Early Childhood Special Education : This is a free specialized preschool program for children identified with a developmental delay. Located at Northwest Valley, ECSE offers a half-day of preschool, Monday through Thursday.  Transportation is available. For a free screening, please contact the Early Childhood office.

Title One Preschool Program : This is a free preschool program for children who qualify based on a developmental screening done by PAT.  Classrooms are located at High Ridge Elementary, Cedar Springs Elementary, and Maple Grove Elementary, and Northwest Valley School. TOP offers a half-day of preschool, Monday through Friday.  Parents must provide transportation. For a free screening, please contact the Early Childhood office.  

Little Lions Preschool :  This is a fee-based preschool program with a sliding scale for fees. Located at Cedar Springs Elementary, Little Lions offers a full day of preschool, Monday through Friday from 8:30-3:00. Before and after school care is available for an additional cost through the Lion Care Program.  Parents must provide transportation.  You may download an application by clicking on the Preschool Applications tab to the left.

Integrated Preschool : This is a fee-based preschool program. Located at Northwest Valley School, the Integrated Preschool offers full or half-day options, Monday through Friday.  Parents must provide transportation.
